The Oregon women's basketball team continued its strong start to the season with a 74-52 victory over Oregon State on Saturday night at Eugene Coliseum, extending the nation's longest winning streak to 24 straight victories. The Ducks ended the first half by defeating Oregon State (7-5, 1-3 Pac-12) for the second straight game, but the Beavers cut the deficit to 10 points less than five minutes before halftime. A pair of three-pointers by Paopao Mikesell pushed Oregon's lead to 38-22 and the Ducks (10-1, 3-0 Pac-12) extended their streak of games with at least 20 points in each of their last three games.

Oregon State scored 23 points in the second half through Kylor Kelley, who added three blocks, but fell behind by 18 points in a row - extending the Ducks' lead to at least 20 points. The players came after spending the last two seasons in the 2014-15 junior class of the Blue Jackets. She became the latest of two new signings to join the Jackets, bringing the total number of recruits for next year to seven.

Anderson spent two years at the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill as a member of the 2014 junior class - 15 of her senior season.

The Beavers lead the all-time series, winning both meetings at Corvallis and beating the Roadrunners 2-1 at Coachera Field last season. This is UTSA's second trip, including a 3-2 victory in the first meeting on September 23, 2015 at home.

Led by head coach Ralph Mathison, the Beavers have placed themselves in the NCAA Division I I women's football tournament four times (2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009) and three times at the helm. Hill would end a 17-year OSU career as the program's all-time leader in goals, assists, goals-against average and shutouts. The four-time winner of the NCAA women's player of the year award for Oregon State from 1997 to 2000, she led the Beavers to an NCAA tournament twice. She became the second player to win the Freshman All-America Award in her first season with the Beavers, making the region her destination three times. In the modern era, Hill led the Beavers to the Pac-12 Conference and was a member of three NCAA Final Four entries and two NCAA Cup entries.

His overall record, which also includes four Pac-12 Conference championships and three NCAA Final Four entries, is 179-96. Erickson, who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in December, was the Beavers' head coach from 1999 to 2002. He won two national titles in Miami and led the team to 12 championship games as head coach. The Beaver Head Coaches have named some of the most influential figures of that era, including former Oregon State football coach Stu Anderson, former OSU athletic director Jim McElwain and former U.S. Senator John McCain.

He was the first coach in Pac-12 history to be named coach of the year in three different leagues and universities, including OSU.
