To help redesign the Boise campus, HP Inc. approached Stack Rock Group to discuss ways to reduce overall spending on the landscape. Architects have been contacted to provide a way to reduce the cost and expense of maintaining the campus. The Stack Rock Group design team traveled to Corvallis, Oregon, to meet with campus stakeholders and website user representatives.
Here, Stack Rock Group took the lead in creating an overall picture of a sustainable landscape by introducing a native grass seed blend to replace Kentucky Blue Grass, removing existing shrubs and native perennials, and restoring sports grounds with an interdisciplinary approach. By rethinking the campus, the campus put on grass and saw results that were unexpected and very welcome.
After early success on the Boise campus, HP decided to apply the same approach to its Corvallis, Oregon campus, which is located in the heart of downtown Portland, just blocks from Oregon State University's campus.
