Top notch sushi at Corvallis prices Reviewed by thundergirl on

My husband and I have, literally, had sushi all over the world and Aomatsu compares favorably with other, much more expensive, restaurants. The fish is very fresh and of excellent quality, the non-sushi items are quite good, and the restaurant is very nicely decorated. The wait staff seems to come mostly from the local university but, what they lack in polish they make up with enthusiasm and friendliness. We have always felt welcome there whether we went alone or with our two small children. However, what keeps us coming back again and again is the sushi. The only other place I've ever liked significantly better was Nobu in Las Vegas and dinner there cost us $300.

The only decent sushi place in corvallis! It's a little more expensive than other sushi places I've found, but the food and service are very good!

I like going to Aomatsu Japanese Restaurant and eating from the Hibachi tables. While the price a bit more than a regular restaurant, the extra for the show and quality of food is worth it. Located in downtown.
